
We made these chains on the laser cutter. They are for directing traffic in Double Rainbow Ice Cream at Autistry. Next we will be making new posts out of wood.

This is a piece that I made 10 years ago. I laminated an hexagonal core of African lacewood topped with triangular wedges of contrasting woods then turned it on a lathe. It is forming the inspiration for the new posts that we will put in the Double Rainbow Cafe.

I built up a 32 inch long blank from 1x3s and 2x4s. My students then rough turned it to the cylinder you see in the photo above.
